We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Senior Linux Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux system administration, coupled with expertise in various technologies such as VMware vCenter, Veeam Backup, storage management, disaster recovery, data center operations, and Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT).
Linux System Administration:
Administer and maintain Linux-based systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, applying patches and updates as necessary.
Implement best practices for system hardening and security.
Virtualization (VMware vCenter):
Manage and maintain VMware vCenter infrastructure.
Deploy, configure, and optimize virtual machines to meet organizational requirements.
Monitor virtualization performance and implement enhancements as needed.
Backup and Recovery (Veeam Backup):
Implement and manage Veeam Backup solutions for data protection and disaster recovery.
Develop and execute backup and recovery strategies.
Conduct regular tests to ensure the effectiveness of disaster recovery plans.
Administer and optimize storage solutions to meet performance and capacity requirements.
Collaborate with other teams to design and implement storage solutions for new projects.
Ensure data integrity and implement data storage best practices.
Design and maintain disaster recovery plans for critical systems and services.
Conduct periodic disaster recovery drills and update plans based on lessons learned.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure business continuity in the event of a disaster.
Data Center Knowledge:
Manage data center operations, including server provisioning, hardware maintenance, and capacity planning.
Implement and maintain data center standards and best practices.
Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT):
Collaborate with the security team to conduct regular VAPT on Linux systems.
Implement security measures to address vulnerabilities and mitigate potential risks.
Stay abreast of industry trends and security threats to proactively enhance the organization's security posture.
