Trigyn’s Sustainable Development Methodology
A key challenge, when implementing or upgrading technology capabilities in developing countries, is sustainability. Without a proactive sustainability strategy, technology investments can foster long term dependence on out-of-country suppliers or outright abandonment of implemented systems due to the lack of affordable local maintenance and support. Trigyn’s Sustainable Development Methodology is a critical part of Trigyn’s approach to delivering IT services in developing countries.
The Objective: Apply the United Nations principals of Sustainable Development to project implementations in developing countries.
Trigyn’s Approach: Trigyn’s Sustainable Development methodology, to the fullest extent possible, seeks to employ project teams comprised mostly of local professionals. Project plans are written to include ongoing skills and solution training designed to foster self-sufficiency among local professionals to operate and maintain solutions post-delivery. To further enhance local capability, and to allow developing regions to retain greater economic benefit, Trigyn tries to leverage the skilled labor pool it has developed through previous implementations for similar projects in the same geographical area.

Trigyn’s COVID-19 Response
The COVID-19 crisis rocked our world in 2020 and 2021. The economic and social disruption caused by the pandemic was devastating with millions of people at risk of falling into extreme poverty. According to the UN, the pandemic was a human, economic and social crisis.
Trigyn responded to the pandemic with purpose and urgency by rapidly deploying a comprehensive range of initiatives to support employees and their families. Trigyn established a “war room” to coordinate our pandemic response activities and transitioned almost of our workers to remote work before lockdowns were mandated by governments. The war room coordinated a wide range of programs including medical support for COVID-19 impacted employees and their families, sourcing supplies such as PPE and oxygen, paid leave for COVID care or recovery, an emergency helpline, enhanced medical coverage, access to vaccines, and a variety of emotional support programs.
Trigyn Cares App: At the onset of the pandemic, Trigyn launched the Trigyn Cares application to educate, track infections and to direct employees and their families to available aid provided by Trigyn in response to the pandemic. This App was continuously updated with information from trusted sources
Trigyn Cares Wellness Programs: Trigyn implemented wellness programs such as mental health counselling, physical activity sessions and home care services to support Trigyn employees & families during the pandemic.
Trigyn Cares Buddy Program: Trigyn employee volunteers worked with COVID affected employees or their family members to provide a touchpoint to co-ordinate with the war room and provide emotional support.
Fighting Hunger: Recognizing the pandemic’s potential to create food insecurity, especially among the most vulnerable members of society, Trigyn partnered with food banks and NGOs to encourage employee donations by providing matching funds from Trigyn.

Trigyn’s Vaccination Management Platform
With the advent of COVID-19 vaccines, the urgency of getting shots in arms became paramount. Trigyn is proud to be a partner in one of the largest vaccination programs in human history. In partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Ministry of Health of one of the World’s most populous nations, Trigyn developed a comprehensive vaccination management platform, Co-WIN, to manage the national vaccination program from registration, logistics, management of vaccination clinics, and providing proof of vaccination status for the countries 1.4 billion citizens.
Trigyn’s Co-WIN platform successfully achieved many milestones including:
- Managing administration of more than 2.2 billion vaccinations as of January 2023.
- Coordinating as many as 3.1 million vaccination appointments in a single day.
- Handling 13.7 million registrations within 8 hours of opening the portal for public use.
