Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for an Application Architect in Albany, NY.
Description:
The selected consultant will be responsible for all phases of the System Development Life Cycle for a multi-tiered processing system. The responsibilities will include guiding and defining architecture requirements for both new development as well as maintenance tasks.
Specific tasks will include:
• Responsible for guiding the architectural design for new development and system enhancements.
• Responsible for coordinating technical solutions among various technical support groups.
• Presentations of Architecture solutions to management and technical support areas.
• Performing architectural mappings of current applications and services into a central catalogue.
• Guiding requirements gathering sessions.
• Guiding the analysis of requirements and system design work.
• Development of technical design documents and program specifications.
• Coding, unit and integration testing of programming assignments.
• Writing and tuning SQL
• Technical Support of user testing efforts.
• Performance analysis and tuning of new and existing applications.
• Identify and document SDLC processes based on client specific requirements
• Production support tasks including analysis of issues. Propose and implement solutions.
• Mentoring of less experienced staff would be required.
Mandatory Qualification:
• Defines the architecture of a computerized system (i.e., a system composed of software and hardware) in order to fulfill certain requirements, including a breakdown of the system into components, the component interactions and interfaces (including with the environment, especially the user), and the technologies and resources to be used in the design.
• Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
• 84 months experience with a Government Taxation organization, which includes technical design, development, maintenance and end user support of Tax Accounting Systems
• 84 months experience as an IT Application Architect identifying and creating artifacts in the areas of; Architecture Solution Patterns, Current and Future State Enterprise Architecture Models, Service Oriented Architecture design and implementation standards
• 84 months experience as an IT Application Architect within an n-tier application architecture built on an IBM software stack, including all of the following; IBM z/OS, AIX, IBM WAS, DB2 z/OS, DB2 on AIX, and IBM WebSphere MQ
• 84 months experience with IBM DB2 working with databases
• 24 months experience using TOGAF, Zachman, or other Enterprise Architecture Methodology
• 84 months of application performance analysis and tuning.
