IT Transformation of a Large Government Entity

Case Study: IT Transformation of a Large Government Entity

October 12, 2022

Background: Trigyn’s direct client was a large municipal government entity serving a major North American city. The client was seeking to take on a comprehensive IT transformation and modernization of its enterprise systems. The client sought a capable and reliable IT staffing vendor to support its multi-year information technology transformation strategy. A key challenge with this engagement was the client’s high volume, and rapidly changing IT staffing requirements. A further complicating factor was the client’s requirement that hiring preference be given to candidates who were recipients of certain social assistance programs from the city.

Trigyn Approach: Through a highly competitive selection process, Trigyn was chosen for a preferred vendor contract by the client. Under the contract, Trigyn provided the client more than  500 professionals under temporary staffing requirements. Trigyn's provided resources to address diverse requirements spanning IT, general administration, and various professional roles, with the bulk of the requirements being technology related.

Trigyn provided the client with a wide range of IT resources including Developers, Engineers, Analysts, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, Testers, IT Auditors, Database Administrators and Specialists in technologies such as Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), Maximo, PeopleSoft, Kronos, and Cisco UCCE. All workers were placed under temporary staffing contracts.

Trigyn deployed its Client Engagement Model for IT staffing services. This highly flexible approach incorporates client policies and procedures to create a client management approach which is tailored to the unique needs of each customer. Using this approach, Trigyn was able to accommodate the unique IT staffing requirements of this client and maintain a very high level of performance against its diverse, high-volume and rapidly-changing needs. Furthermore, Trigyn was able to incorporate processes into our engagement model to solicit applications from recipients of specific municipal social assistance programs prioritized by the client. As a result, Trigyn was able to exceed its goals for hiring disadvantaged individuals under the contract.

Outcome: Trigyn has earned and maintains an excellent reputation under this contract and was the top IT Staffing supplier to this client. Trigyn has consistently met or exceeded the client’s expectations for contract performance and as a result the contract was extended multiple time. Trigyn continues to serve this client today.
