Job Description:

Trigyn's direct client has an immediate long-term need for a Testing Specialist in Trenton, NJ (HYBRID Position). The particulars of the position are as follows.

NOTE:
• Experience with large-scale system modernization REQUIRED!
• Govt exp- specifically in DOL (Dept. of Labor) REQUIRED!

Description:
The Testing Specialist will be responsible for managing project activities that require close coordination with the systems design and development, as well as coordinating the activities and direction of the other participating state/county agencies.

• Developing a comprehensive test plan for the modernized system;
• Establishing testing criteria and success metrics aligned with project objectives;
• Aiding the system implementation vendor in crafting a data migration strategy and schedule;
• Developing detailed test cases and scenarios covering functional, non-functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing;
• Setting up the testing environment;
• Systematically executing test cases, documenting results and defects;
• Performing various testing types, including unit, integration, system, and user acceptance testing;
• Logging, tracking, and prioritizing defects based on severity and impact; Collaborating with developers for timely issue resolution;
• Conducting security tests to identify vulnerabilities and ensuring compliance with security standards;
• Facilitating sessions with end-users to validate system efficacy, gathering feedback, and making adjustments based on input;
• Providing detailed test reports to stakeholders, encompassing test coverage, results, and unresolved issues;
• Participating in data validation and quality assurance efforts during migration;
• Conducting data reconciliation and documenting any discrepancies;
• Ensuring data accuracy and integrity after migration;
• Assisting in resolving data-related issues post-launch and evaluating testing processes for improvement;
• Evaluating the existing system to pinpoint areas for enhancement and determine testing requirements;
• Defining data migration needs and assisting in data mapping activities;
• Examining and documenting current interfaces, data sources, data structures, and data governance policies, which includes the utilization of interface specification documents and data mapping; and
• Recording lessons learned and best practices for future reference.
