Job Description:
We are seeking a Data Center Lead to manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of our data center, ensuring the seamless functioning of our VMware environment, Linux-based applications, and network infrastructure, including firewalls and switches. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in virtualization, Linux systems, and network infrastructure, along with proven leadership abilities to guide and mentor a cross-functional team.
Experience:
10+ years of hands-on experience in managing complex data center environments.
Expertise in managing VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and vMotion.
Proficient in Linux system administration across multiple distributions (RHEL).
Strong experience in configuring and managing firewalls, load balancers, and network switches ( Palo Alto,.).
Solid understanding of IP networking, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), VLANs, and VPN.
Technical Skills:
Virtualization: VMware (vSphere, vCenter, vSAN), Hyper-V.
Networking: Cisco/Juniper switches/routers, IPsec, SSL VPN, BGP, OSPF, QoS.
Linux Administration: RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, Bash scripting, system automation (Ansible/Puppet).
Storage Management: SAN/NAS, iSCSI, NFS, FC, vSAN.
Automation: PowerCLI, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
Monitoring & Alerting: Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, ELK Stack, SolarWinds.
Backup & Recovery: Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup.
Preferred Certifications:
VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or higher.
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or similar Linux certification.
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher.
Palo Alto Networks (PCNSA, PCNSE) or similar network security certifications.
CompTIA Security+ or equivalent security certification.
