Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for a Systems Architect in Albany, NY.
Description:
The System Architect Will Lead the design, development, and implementation of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) solutions.
• Define cloud strategy and architecture to align with business goals and objectives.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Architect and design scalable, secure, and high-performance GPC environments.
• Create detailed architecture diagrams, design documents, and implementation plans for GPC projects.
• Evaluate and recommend new cloud services and technologies to enhance infrastructure capabilities.
• Oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of GPC resources, including computing, storage, networking, and databases.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) scripts using tools like Ansible to automate provisioning and configuration.
• Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for cost and performance.
• Conduct regular performance assessments and implement improvements to ensure efficient resource utilization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and operations, to ensure seamless integration and operation of cloud solutions.
• Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for complex cloud infrastructure issues.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud infrastructure designs, configurations, and procedures.
• Conduct training sessions and workshops for team members and stakeholders on GPC best practices and new technologies.
Mandatory Qualification:
• Defines the architecture of a computerized system (i.e., a system composed of software and hardware) in order to fulfill certain requirement, including a breakdown of the system into components, the component interactions and interfaces (including with the environment, especially the user), and the technologies and resources to be used in the design.
• Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
• 84 months of experience working with Google/AWS Cloud platform automation in an SRE or DevOps organization.
• 60 months of hands-on experience as a Java Lead and/or Java Architect
• 36 months experience in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (Deep understanding of cloud networking, storage, and computing concepts
• 12 months of experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana).
• 12 Months experience as an enterprise architect or principal engineer in a role focusing on cloud infrastructure.
• 12 Months Extensive experience in designing, deploying, and managing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS) solutions.
