Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring database performance, availability, security, and reliability while supporting application development and reporting needs.
Key Responsibilities
Design, create, and manage database schemas, queries, views, stored procedures, and functions using Microsoft SQL Server.
Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure application responsiveness and reliability.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve database-related and application-related technical issues.
Manage job scheduling, database backup and restore, and disaster recovery procedures.
Implement and maintain SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages.
Develop, deploy, and support reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
Collaborate with development and QA teams to support database-driven applications.
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with best practices.
Maintain database documentation and follow standard operating procedures.
Use version control systems such as TFS for database scripts and related artifacts.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server (DBA and Development).
Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
Hands-on experience with SQL job scheduling, backup, and restore.
Experience with SSIS and SSRS.
Good understanding of Microsoft Power BI and data visualization concepts.
Working knowledge of version control systems (e.g., TFS/Azure DevOps).
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Good communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in high-availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) setups.
Knowledge of database security and access management.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
