Job Description:
Technical support for networking such as: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, wireless and security. • Remote access solution implementation and support such as IPSEC VPN • Understanding of DNS/DHCP • Ability to work with vendor support to resolve client issues • Experience with Command Line Interfaces to manage computer equipment • IT Support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft's core business applications and operating systems. • Respond to and resolve alerts and tickets generated from the monitoring system and/or customer requests in a timely fashion. • Maintain accurate time and records in all service tickets as performed. • Maintain system configuration information within ticketing system and ensure it is attached to relevant tickets. • Communicate with customers as needed regarding ticket progress, changes or agreed outages. • Escalate service requests that require engineer level support in a timely fashion to prevent breech of SLA. • Work with all team members to implement and improve Company best practices. • Utilize central management tools to resolve customer issues with minimal customer impact. • Get new clients on-boarded and documented in our systems. Scope: • Perform fast turnaround of customer requests. • Perform network administrative duties on-site weekly. • Communicate effectively with the customer regarding issues and potential problems. • Report to management potential problems with customer’s computers, configurations and/or environment. Experience Level: • B.S. Degree, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent education or training desired • 3-5 years of relevant experience as a network engineer including phone, remote support, and hands on • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Applications • Excellent Customer Service Skills • Advanced troubleshooting skills • Experience installing/configuring routers, switches, VPNs, firewalls (Cisco, Sophos, Palo Alto) Certifications: Actively working on one relevant certification track: • Security+/ Network+/ CCNA / JNCIA •
Engineer must be experienced in and have internal product and or Architecture knowledge experience with Firewalls and security.
• Working knowledge and experience BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, ISIS, IP MPLS, QoS, and Multicast is a definite plus.
• Experience Implementing Supporting Layer 2, Layer 3 implementations will be key.
• Hands-on experience in Installation, Configuration, and troubleshooting and or Network Solution designing of Routers and switches and firewalls.
• Must have hands-on experience of 5-7 years on Dell, HP and Fortigate.
• Provide technical leadership for a team of engineers for all product design aspects of the system.
• Manage product, and systems requirements/specifications.
• Define system test strategy. Drive verification and validation activities for the overall product/system, including system-level testing.
• Responsible for driving critical to quality (CTQ) / Risk tradeoffs
• Design & develop network infrastructure using switches and routers.
• Create a Cross-Premises Virtual Network for Site-to-Site Connectivity
• Design network topology, and routing plans to ensure N/W packets flowed through the pipes with low delay and no packet loss between the endpoints
• Uses advanced troubleshooting techniques to analyze and resolve critical N/W issues in the field
• Creating configuration and installing guidelines for N/W infrastructure.
• Perform technology/tools evaluation and technical proof of concepts.

• Provide technical leadership for a team of engineers for all product design aspects of the system.
• Manage product, and systems requirements/specifications.
• Support, coordinate, and lead technical reviews with cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to Monitoring Solutions strategy and ensures delivery within an area of responsibility.
• Ensure that product programs achieve all design objectives required to meet customer and business needs, including feature and functionality, quality, reliability, scalability, serviceability, manufacture-ability, regulatory, compliance and cost.
