Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for a Software Architect in Albany, NY.
Description:
The selected consultant will be responsible for all phases of the System Development Life Cycle for a multi-tiered complex processing system. Specific tasks will include:
• Responsible for guiding the technical design for data conversion to newly modernized systems.
• Responsible for coordinating technical solutions among various technical support groups.
• Presentations of technical solutions to management and technical support areas.
• Responsible for implementing technical solutions.
• Guiding requirements gathering sessions.
• Guiding the analysis of requirements and system design work.
• Development of technical design documents and program specifications.
• Coding, unit and integration testing of programming assignments.
• Coordinate the migration of all code changes (programs, procedures, etc.) from development environment into user test environment.
• Writing and tuning SQL.
• Technical Support of user testing efforts.
• Performance tuning of new and existing applications.
• Production support tasks including analysis of issue, propose and implement solutions.
• Mentoring of less experienced staff would be required.
Mandatory Qualification:
• Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large-scale software system.
• Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
• 84 months experience with a government organization, which includes business knowledge, technical design, development, maintenance and end user support of complex systems.
• 84 months of COBOL/ASSEMBLER/CICS programming experience in an IBM Mainframe Environment utilizing TSO.
• 84 months of MVS JCL experience.
• 84 months of IBM DB2/SQL experience for z/OS working with databases.
• 60 months of experience in system analysis and design for multi-tiered transactional systems and writing technical design specification documents for multifaceted component-based systems.
• 60 months of experience with IBM MQ Series.
• 60 months of experience with CA-Intertest.
