Job Description:
The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining end-to-end master data and analytics solutions across the enterprise data platform. This spans building and maintaining the Master Data Management (MDM) application and Master and Reference Data APIs using TIBCO EBX and Java; engineering scalable and secure data pipelines and data lake/warehouse architectures in the cloud; and transforming raw data into well-modeled, analytics-ready datasets and interactive Power BI dashboards. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure bank-wide data consistency and to empower business stakeholders to derive actionable insights and make data-driven decisions across the organization.
Scope of Work/Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain the Master Data Management (MDM) web application using TIBCO EBX and Java.
Build and maintain Master and Reference Data APIs to support bank-wide data consistency.
Develop and maintain both frontend and backend components.
Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure data pipelines and data lake/warehouse architectures.
Optimize data workflows for performance and cost-efficiency in cloud environments (e.g., Azure).
Monitor and troubleshoot data platform performance and reliability issues.
Design and develop scalable data pipelines that extract data from various source systems and transform data inside the data warehouse.
Transform data into data models that adhere to dimensional modelling techniques i.e. Kimball.
Create visually compelling and informative dashboards and reports using Power BI.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity through validation and quality checks.
Collaborate with data analysts, analytics engineers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver meaningful insights.
Provide technical leadership and design guidance across MDM, data platform, and analytics engineering solutions.
Review and ensure quality, performance, and consistency of data models, pipelines, APIs, and dashboards.
Contribute to engineering standards, best practices, and continuous improvement of the data platform.
Participate in Agile development processes including Scrum and Kanban events.
Prepare high-level and detailed technical designs for data solutions.
Apply best practices in coding, testing, and deployment including CI/CD pipelines.
Stay updated with the latest trends in data engineering and suggest process improvements.
Perform other relevant tasks as assigned.
Requirement and Qualification (Competencies, Education & Work Experience)
Educational Requirements:
Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or other related fields.

Relevant Experience and Other Requirements:
· At least five (5) years of experience in a senior data engineering, software engineering, or analytics engineering role.
· At least five (5) years of experience in architecture, design, and development of integrated systems.
· Proven experience developing Java web applications.
· Proven experience working with MDM software such as TIBCO EBX.
· Proven experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
· Proven experience in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
· Proven experience developing microservices for data integration using TypeScript or Python.
· Proven experience developing data pipelines using Python, PySpark and SQL.
· Familiarity with modern data warehousing solutions like Databricks.
· Strong understanding of dimensional modelling techniques (e.g., Kimball).
· Proven experience with relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, etc.
· Proficiency in Power BI; experience with Tableau and other visualization platforms is a plus.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Familiarity with software development lifecycle and project management methodologies.
· Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 applications.
· Experience in Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum or Kanban).
· Experience with Azure DevOps is preferred.
· Experience with Azure Cloud Services and CI/CD pipelines is an advantage.
· Certifications in Secure Coding, Scrum, or DevOps are a plus.
· Experience working in teams of five or more members.
· Ability to work with senior executives from diverse cultures.
Reporting and Coordination
The Senior Data Engineer will report to the Project Manager and/or designated staff. The Senior Data Engineer will work closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, analytics engineers, and other teams within the organization.
