Qualification: A bachelor’s degree in education, Quality Management, or related discipline is required, along with relevant certifications or diplomas. Candidates should possess experience in quality assurance, auditing, or continuous improvement within an educational or training environment, as well as knowledge of ISO 21001 standards and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) management. Academic qualifications are deemed essential. Additionally, strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills are necessary, along with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, which is considered advantageous.
Sector experience:
A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in quality management, Audit, administration, finance, management accounting, budget management, business, and system analysis
Geographical experience: Minimum of 5 year/s of international experience in any country.
Languages: Fluency in English, both written and oral, is required.
Overview of position:
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Regional Field Technology Service (RFTS) and the direct supervision of the immediate supervisor, the candidate will undertake the following tasks:
• ISO 21001 pertains to management systems for educational organisations. It is imperative to ensure that all educational and administrative processes adhere to the standards set forth by ISO 21001. This includes overseeing the development, implementation, and regular review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Additionally, it is essential to provide personnel with training and guidance to ensure compliance with these standards.
• Course Monitoring: Systematically review course delivery and content to verify adherence to institutional standards and identify areas for improvement.
• Assessment Strategy: Develop, implement, and periodically evaluate assessment methods to ensure they measure intended learning outcomes accurately and fairly.
• Continuous Improvement Activities: Initiate and support projects aimed at enhancing processes, teaching quality, and learner experience, based on data-driven insights.
• Internal Evaluation (Student Feedback): Collect, analyse, and report on student feedback to inform decision-making and guide improvements in course design and delivery.
• External Evaluation (Feedback from Missions): Facilitate the collection and analysis of feedback from external stakeholders, including mission partners, to assess program relevance and effectiveness.
• Curriculum Monitoring: Regularly review and evaluate the curriculum to ensure it remains current, comprehensive, and aligned with institutional goals and industry standards.
• Internal and External Evaluation. The officer will employ structured feedback mechanisms, including surveys, focus groups, and interviews, to gather insights from students and external mission partners. Regular reports will be generated and shared with management to inform strategic decisions and support accountability.
• Curriculum Monitoring. Conduct periodic reviews of course syllabi, learning materials, and instructional methods. Benchmark curriculum content against industry standards and best practices to ensure relevance and rigour.
• Reporting and Accountability. The officer reports directly to the client Project management. Performance will be evaluated based on the timeliness, accuracy, and impact of reports, as well as the effectiveness of quality improvement initiatives and compliance with ISO standards.
Key competencies:
• Bachelor’s degree in education, quality management, or a related field (master’s preferred).
• At least five years of work experience and three years at the international level in quality management, Audit, Training, administration, system analysis, and administration on training support and operational support services related to assets, and/or ICT operations support.
• Knowledge of ISO 21001 Educational organisations Management systems for educational organisations, Compliance standards, and SOP management.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills, Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
• Proven communication skills, including preparing a range of reports and communications and conducting presentations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relations in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.
