Job Description:

Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for Project Manager in Stony Brook, NY.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Work with project teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects and their expected business benefits, based on PMO project management guidelines and best practices, through the entire project lifecycle by defining scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals. Effectively lead and facilitate meetings with a variety of groups, including project teams, senior leadership and external vendors.
• Develop full-scale project plans including project documentation. Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals, making sure they are in line with business objectives.
• Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders, ensuring accuracy, quality, and integrity of the information, while providing consistency in content and “look and feel” across the enterprise. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel. Identify and proactively resolve issues and conflicts within the project team. Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path. Manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans.
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. Define and track project success criteria, including milestones and deliverables. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. Determine the frequency and content of status updates from each working team in the project, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
• Create a publish accurate status reports.

Mandatory Qualification:
• Plans, organizes and integrates cross-functional information technology projects that are significant in scope and impact.
• Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance and provides guidance to others. May have an advanced education.

• 60 months of experience managing budgets, invoicing, tracking and reporting for all aspects of the project
• 60 months of experience identifying and schedule project deliverables, milestones and required activities and tasks
• 60 months of experience creating MS Project work breakdown structures
• 60 months of experience effectively leading and facilitating meetings with a variety of groups, including project teams, senior leadership, and external vendors
• 60 months of experience conducting risk and issue assessment and mitigation plans
• 60 months of experience creating project documentation, including: Resource Plans, Meeting Minutes, Project Schedules, Action Items, Sponsor Presentations, Weekly Status Reports, Lessons Learned, and other documents as required per the project lifecycle.
• 60 months of experience excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills. Proven track record communicating with all levels of stakeholders in IT and business.
• 60 months of experience with project organization and follow-through on tasks, activities, risks, and issues
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Project Management Professional Certification.
