Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for Project Manager in Albany, NY.
Description:
The Project Manager will be planning and managing projects to ensure completion in a timely manner. They will also prepare reports, monitor progress, and keep managers informed. The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within fixed budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

Mandatory Qualification:
• Plans, organizes and integrates cross-functional information technology projects that are significant in scope and impact.
• Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
• 84 months of experience in managing multiple complex projects in public and private sector as the Project Manager with responsibility for their successful completion.
• 84 months of experience in initiating and engaging in project communication with Stakeholders, Development Teams, and Executive management.
• 84 months of experience in creating, maintaining and organizing extensive project documentation required by PMI Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) with knowledge of SharePoint, JIRA, and Microsoft Office 365 as they relate to the creating, storing and organizing documentation.
• 84 months of experience managing projects using a PMI Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) based project management methodology, including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing projects involving third party vendors, internal and external stakeholders, multi-sector project teams.
• 84 months of experience in managing software development projects using the Agile Scrum methodology using JIRA or equivalent tool to plan and track project tasks, create custom workflows, manage Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) validation.
• 84 months experience performing data analysis and business process re-engineering (BPR) to produce specifications for multi-layered IT applications.
• 84 months of experience in managing COTS software implementation projects, in-house application development (SDLC) projects, legacy upgrades migration projects including deployment planning and end-user training.
• 60 months experience in translating business vision and project charter into a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) used for estimating and planning software development for legacy migration projects.
