Job Description:
Scope of Work & Key Responsibilities*
• Create Test Plans: Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on business requirements, change requests (CRs), and other technical documentation.
• Execute Test Plans: Follow prepared test guides and checklists to systematically validate the features of various web applications, including the PeopleSoft HCM system.
• Exploratory Testing: Go beyond formal test plans to freely explore the applications, identifying unexpected bugs or usability issues that a typical user might encounter.
• Bug Reporting: Document and report all identified issues with clear, step-by-step descriptions that allow developers to easily reproduce the problem. Effective use of screenshots is essential.
• Verification: Re-test features across different applications after bug fixes have been applied to confirm that the solution is effective and has not introduced new problems.
• Provide Feedback: Offer constructive feedback on the overall usability and user experience of the applications from an end-user's perspective.
• Test Process Automation: Identify opportunities for test automation and assist in the development or maintenance of automated test scripts to improve efficiency and test coverage.
*Required Skills and Qualifications*
• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: At least one year of professional experience in IT. Proven experience in developing or testing IT applications is required.
*Technical Skills:*
• Proficient in using modern web browsers, mobile devices, and standard office software for testing purposes.
• A basic functional understanding of PeopleSoft HCM system modules is required.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python) is a significant advantage.
• A basic understanding of web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a strong plus for describing technical issues effectively.
• Basic knowledge of using AI-powered tools for testing or process improvement is an added advantage.
