Job Description:
The client uses PeopleSoft HCM and Financials, version 9.2. Over 20 modules are used in both systems, as it serves as the primarily system for Administrative, Human and Financial control. Peoplesoft is integrated with a number of internal and external systems, including an Oracle Data warehouse used for all corporate reporting, with banking and payment solutions, learning management system, security services, client pension fund and more.

There are a number of integrations from Financials to external systems, including to the banking solution, Oracle data warehouse, external travel agent, security system and other financial systems.

Additionally, client has built custom modules in HCM for Consultant Management (integrated with the Financials databases), benefits management and modules for creating inputs to the payroll. HCM is integrated with the client Pension fund. The recruitment module is exposed externally for the careers site.
Duties and responsibilities
Under the general supervision and technical coordination of the ICT Solutions manager, and as part of the ERP Solutions team, the vendor will provide technical expertise to address and resolve user issues and change requests in PeopleSoft Financials & HCM.
Additionally, the vendor will support clients work on patching the application, based on Oracle’s release schedule. All patches must go through Dev-UAT prior to Production deployment with technical and user testing. Increasing frequency will require more automation of the process.
Detailed tasks description
This list of tasks applies to all PeopleSoft modules:
1. Provide user support for technical issues in PeopleSoft Financials and HCM through an internal ticketing system. Tickets must be managed to ensure that users are informed of progress or need for feedback.
2. Debug issues to identify causes and provide solutions on how to resolve.
3. Develop technical solutions for user issues, including updates to Peoplecode, SQL scripts or other scripts to resolve data issues, updates or amendments to workflow.
4. Review quarterly and exceptional Oracle patches for Peoplesoft and apply relevant patches or work with hosting agency for application of patches. Carry out system testing in non-Production environments and resolve any consequent issues.
4. Resolve performance issues in processes by identifying bottlenecks and developing remediations.
5. Prepare projects and accompanying documentation for the PeopleSoft support team to migrate project to production.
6. Carry out quality control checks on the development of others and the documentation accompanying the projects.
7. Ensure that project and lessons learned documentation is maintained in the ICT document management system.
8. Report any system issues promptly to ICT management.
9. Support the application of patches, PUMs and technical testing post application as well as basic functional testing, working closely with the database managers. Patching and its testing must be done in co-ordination with the support and project teams to ensure new projects are included in the testing. Disruption for development teams and users must be minimized to the extent possible without compromising the patching-testing process and quality of the deliverable. Automate recurring functional test scenarios whenever possible.
10. Manage any issues with integrations either between PS databases or with external systems. This work will include liaising with business owners of external systems as well as external vendors.
11. Comply with requirement procedures and policies, in particular those on security and updates on or migrations to Production systems.
12. Provide information to internal and external auditors, or other reviews as required.
13. Design solutions required to comply with internal audit recommendations, in particular on the Purchasing module
14. Provide post go-live support for any solutions deployed to production.
15. Work closely with developers, Peoplesoft and in other technologies, to validate requirements and ensure integration points are managed efficiently and securely while maintaining the availability and integration of the data.
16. Work with the ICT Change Management team when communications or other materials must be prepared to inform users of new/updated functionality.
Technical Requirements:
• At least 4 year’s experience of working with the listed modules in PeopleSoft Financials and/or HCM, in at least version 9.X
• Highly skilled knowledge of People Tools 8.6x
• Highly skilled knowledge of PeopleCode, including application packages and workflow
• Demonstrable knowledge of security components in Peoplesoft, with ability to setup or modify security components as required
• Strong demonstrable knowledge of problem-solving technical issues and supporting a non- technical user group
• Strong demonstrable knowledge of developing technical solutions for listed modules in both PeopleSoft Financials and/or HCM
• Experience of approval workflow – creating new complex workflows, use of approval workflow engines
• Experience of designing integration broker messages and component interfaces and other integration methods including solution design for integration with Cloud SaaS solutions
• Experience of applying Oracle Peoplesoft patches, including selective application, testing impact and resolving issues prior to PRD deployment.
• Understanding of Peoplesoft security framework and ensure alignment with client ICT principles of least privilege, audit trail and resiliency.
• Experience using the PeopleSoft Test Framework to automate functional and technical testing within PeopleSoft applications.
