Job Description:
• Install, configure, and support an organization’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system
• Good knowledge of enterprise-level switching and routing.
• Good knowledge of Next-gen Firewalls and security appliances and tools.
• Maintain network hardware and software, analyse problems, and monitor network performance to ensure network availability to all system users
• Assist in the planning and implementation of network upgrades
• Analyse and resolve complex hardware and software problems associated with network servers, client workstations, and application programs
• Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software
• Configure and install routers, switches, multiplexers, firewalls, and other data communications equipment
• Connect sites through virtual private networks (VPNs) using the latest encryption methods
• Monitor network usage and control access permissions and privileges
• Perform routine audits of systems and software
• Develop and implement policies and procedures related to network administration and usage
• Train users in the proper use of hardware and software
• Keep abreast of new technologies and make recommendations for their implementation
