Job Description:
Trigyn has a contractual opportunity for a Local Area Network (LAN) Technician. This resource will be working at our client site in Western Sahara.
Job Description:
• Proven experience in Cisco L2 and, L3 LAN Switching, ACLs, QoS, Network Segmentation. Installation and configuration of Catalyst Wireless LAN Controllers, Mobility Express and Wireless Access Points.
• Hands-on experience in routing protocols such as EIGRP.
• Administration of Cisco ISE, TACACS configuration.
• Administration of VMware Infrastructure, Storage Arrays and SAN Switches.
• Ability to manage Web Content Gateway and Filtering Applications/Appliances.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.
• Knowledge of HP DL-360/380 servers
• Configure, install and maintain CCTV systems including IP security cameras and Network Video Recorders.
• Assist for the installation of network cabling, Indoor/ Outdoor wireless access points and network cabinets.
• Performs preventative maintenance to Team Sites, fault diagnosis and repair.
• Performs any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Chief of the unit.
Education
High school with equivalent diploma. (Diploma in Telecommunication/Computer Science studies from a technical school, or an equivalent of education, certification and experience in Telecommunication/ IT field).
Experience:
At least six (06) years of relevant work experience in the planning and installation of complex
Information Systems, equipment, and networks, including at least three (3) years of
experience at the international level.
Experience providing services in the field of information systems or related area to or in a
field operation of the United Nations common system or comparable international
organization is desirable.
Experience in the field of information systems or related area in a conflict or post-conflict
setting is required.
Essential:

• Must possess excellent problem-solving and logical thinking skills
• Skill in working in collaborative team-based environments
• Must meet deadlines and provide quick turnaround on projects when needed.
• Relevant experience in Systems and Network Administration is mandatory.
• Possession of a valid driving license
Desirable:
· Relevant field experience
· Knowledge about network switches, computers, printers and other hardware devices connected to a network in a campus or a building.
Communication / Management:
• Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work with minimum supervision.
