Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for a Lead Business / Software Analyst in Albany, NY.
Description:
The consultant will be responsible for analyzing, developing, and testing for all aspects of the system modernization initiatives.
• Analyze and document existing applications.
• Develop software requirements and specifications for the new application.
• Manage software analysis projects involving the use of a broad range of tools and techniques;
• Communicate software requirements to IT staff, program staff, and stakeholders;
• Develop test scenarios, scripts, and data & evaluate test results
• Track and fully document changes to functional and business specifications;
• Create detailed procedural documentation using clear language for use in training.
• Participates in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality.
• Uses defined portfolio templates and standards in order to document technical specifications and requirements.
• Review scope and output of exploratory testing in development sprints
• Provide guidance to testers performing exploratory testing in development sprints
• Create status reporting mechanisms to monitor the status of the above activities
• Liaise between the DMV users and developers
• Develop software while adhering to WCAG 2.2 AA standards
Mandatory Qualification:
• Studies the software application domain, prepares software requirements, and specification documents. Liaises between the software users and the software developers. Conveys the demands of software users to the developers. Skills include: working knowledge of software technology; computer programming experience/expertise; general business knowledge; problem solving/reduction skills; interpersonal relation skills; flexibility and adaptability.
• Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
• 84 months experience working on a Business Requirements project involving the application of strategies to collect business process requirements for the new application.
• 84 months experience as Lead Analyst on projects using recognized business process management methodologies (e.g., elicitation and documenting of business process requirements, business process modeling, As-Is and To- Be workflow development and gap analysis, best business practice research, target environment definition, etc.) to define and analyze current business processes in order to remodel/design new processes and improve on existing ones.
• 60 months experience in software analysis
• 48 months experience with developing test plans for projects to ensure user and program requirements are met.
• 48 months experience with the facilitation of multiple project teams to gather and document business process requirements.
• 48 months Flowchart/Diagramming (Microsoft Visio) software experience
• 12 months experience in OutSystems development
• 12 months experience developing web accessibility standards including both manual screen reader and keyboard accessibility testing of code.
