Job Description:
Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for Java / J2EE Developer in Albany, NY.
Description:
The selected consultant will be a developer for the Tax Modernization effort and provide support for maintenance activities.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
• Provide programming duties for tax related applications.
• Develop and review detailed documentation for system and program change requirement including detail specifications documents.
• Assist and provide guidance through all phases of the project management life cycle.
• Develop unit test plans based on coding changes and user specifications. Conduct unit testing and debugging of all code changes in the development environment.
• Coordinate the migration of all code changes (programs, procedures, etc.) from development environment into user test environment.
• Use distributed technologies including Java, DB2, XML and XQuery.
• Provide support, as needed, for defects and issue resolution. Ensure that defects and issues are addressed promptly based on priority.
• Facilitate and participate in meetings with ITS and DTF customers.
• Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with management and users, ITS management, and team members.
Mandatory Qualification:
• Is involved with all facets of the software development process, including the research, design, programming, testing and implementation of computer software.
• Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance.
• 36 months experience with J2EE technologies including JDBC, JSP and XML.
• 36 months experience developing, building, and testing Java EE applications using modern IDE’s, such as Eclipse, Netbeans, or IntelliJ.
• 24 months experience using J2EE frameworks such as Spring or struts.
• 12 months experience writing SQL statements for relational databases.
• 12 months of experience in messaging technologies, such as MQ, JMS, Kafka.
• 12 months experience developing with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
