Job Description:
Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for a GIS Specialist in Albany, NY.
Description:
• Assist with developing, testing, implementing and maintaining desktop, server and mobile GIS applications and workflows
• Document spatial workflows, procedures, and applications
• Assist with the design, construction, management, and documentation of GIS datasets
• Assist with management of IT infrastructure that supports GIS platform
• Assist with mapping or analysis needs
• Respond to GIS service desk tickets
• Support emergency response efforts.
Mandatory Qualification:
• Works in the field of Information Technology, experienced in the usage and support of a collection of development platforms, technical architectures or business applications and products that run on those platforms - beyond that of a Programmer.
• Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance and provides guidance to others. May have an advanced education.
• 60 months of mapping and spatial analysis experience using ArcGIS Desktop/Pro
• 36 months of experience developing data ETL workflows using one or more of the following tools: Safe Software Feature Manipulation Engine (FME), Oracle Data Integretor, SQL Server Integration Studio, ArcGIS Data Interoperability Extension.
• 36 months of experience configuring and administering Esri-based web mapping applications for browser or mobile based solutions
• 12 months of experience automating tasks using Python.
