Job Description:
Our client - a major utility firm - has an immediate need for an experienced eLearning Developer. The particulars of the position are as follows.
Project Overview:
This role will support full-time staff to manage the design and development of e-learning training requested by a variety of business units.
Job Functions & Responsibilities:
• Act as the bridge between the business and IT.
• Work cross-functionally to ensure project success.
• Develop training using client approved software tools (Articulate products)
• Design training courses utilizing input provided by content owners and subject matter experts.
• Work with client personnel to develop new interactions in existing courses.
• Prepare exceptional, highly polished written and oral communication for senior-level presentations.
• Define and manage the training workstream and documents of projects (schedule, tasks, cost, changes/risks/issues) via processes, procedures, and tools for assigned projects. As needed, manage all project workstreams.
• Monitor the project schedule, budget, and deliverables. Track progress and review project tasks to make certain deadlines are met appropriately.
• Recognize problems or situations that are or may impact the project delivery.
• Work cross-functionally to resolve issues, mitigate risks and implement changes. Work with senior management to escalate and resolve more complex issues and risks.
Skills:
• Advanced user of Articulate Studio and Rise and/or Storyline products to develop online training (at least 5 years).
• Working knowledge of Project Management skills needed for interaction with clients during design and development process.
• Ability to work on projects as a solo team member and meet quality/timing requirements.
• Develop learning objectives.
• Develop audio scripts in conjunction with content owners.
• Convert existing PowerPoint presentations to e-learning modules.
• Publish SCORM 1.2 and AICC compliant courseware.
• Create or modify existing graphic elements (preferred).
• Create new or modify existing interactions.
• Prioritize time and project deliverables with minimal oversight.
• Provide concise project update reports on work in progress.
• Ability to edit video content such as trimming and combining elements of videos.
Education & Certifications:
• At least 5 years’ experience in online training development using Articulate products is mandatory.
• Bachelor’s degree in learning related field or significant relevant experience is required.
• Degree in Organizational Learning/Training and Development is preferred.
