Job Description:

Trigyn has an opportunity for a Drupal Developer (Back-End). This resource will be working Remotely.

Scope of Work:

The consultant will support the development and maintenance of Unite Web platform and websites built on it. Responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain custom Drupal 10 modules using modern PHP practices and Drupal APIs.
• Configure and optimize core and contributed modules, especially related to content architecture, user permissions, search, and workflow.
• Design and implement data migration strategies from Drupal 7 or other systems to Drupal 10
• Collaborate with the DevOps and infrastructure teams to ensure environments are secure and optimized.
• Create and manage content types, taxonomies, and views according to project specifications.
• Conduct back-end performance tuning and apply caching strategies (e.g., Redis, Varnish, BigPipe).
• Ensure all code adheres to best practices, including security, accessibility, and maintainability standards.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.
• Write and maintain technical documentation.
• Perform other duties as may be reasonably required and in line with the incumbent’s scope of services above.

Deliverables:
• Development of secure, efficient, and reusable custom Drupal 10 modules based on project specifications. All code must follow Drupal coding standards and be maintained in the designated version control repository.
• Creation of robust and reusable migration scripts for content, users, taxonomy terms, and configuration from Drupal 7 to Drupal 10. Verification of data integrity and completeness post-migration through automated and manual validation processes.
• Configuration of content types, fields, taxonomies, views, user roles, and permissions in line with project architecture. Performance enhancements using caching layers, optimized queries, and best practices for large-scale Drupal deployments.
• Preparation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation including module specifications, configuration guides, environment setup, and deployment processes. Contribution to internal knowledge bases and onboarding materials for continuity and scalability.
• Timely resolution of bugs, performance issues, and security vulnerabilities. Continuous integration testing and support during the QA and UAT phases.
• Development of a forward-looking technical roadmap outlining key considerations for the eventual transition to Drupal 11, including compatibility analysis, dependency tracking, and decoupled architecture opportunities. Recommendations for continuous improvement in development practices, automation, scalability, and alignment with evolving digital strategies and technology frameworks.

Experience:
• A minimum of five years of experience in design, development, implementation, training or maintenance for Drupal 9/10 web sites is required.
• Demonstrated experience building custom Drupal modules and working with the Drupal Entity API, Configuration Management, and Migrate API.
• Strong understanding of PHP 8+, Composer, and modern OOP practices.
• Experience working with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
• Prior experience with multilingual and international web platforms is desirable.
• Fluency in English is required
