Job Description:

Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for a Certified Project Manager in Albany, NY.

Description:
• Establish and manage various project plans and schedule;
• Hold RFP development meetings and gather information to develop RFP for system design, development, implementation, legacy data migration and post-implementation support;
• Liaison with the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) and Contracts Administration Unit for the RFP development;
• After selection of the winning RFP, consultant will be responsible for aiding the program area and ITS in overall management of the resulting project;
• Lead periodic team meetings, independently conduct requirements gathering sessions, analyze interdependencies and prioritize needs;
• Using Jira/Confluence and/or MS Project, convert Estimates into Releases and Sprints with timelines;
• Bring synergies with other projects, manage cross team dependencies and escalate any roadblocks;
• Guide team members and follow-up for timely tasks completion;
• Manage project risks and changes with appropriate impact analysis and risk mitigating interventions;
• Hold daily scrums, and other agile ceremonies to achieve the planned milestones;
• Ensure stories, done/acceptance criteria, test strategies are defined well and set-up processes from same;
• Manage schedule, cost, efforts, quality of deliverables and risks/contingency planning;
• Facilitate management and technical meetings, sending MOM and tracking actions;
• Managing RAID for projects - (Risk, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies)
• Develops and implements project management processes, tools and artifacts;
• Track project progress and publish project health reports;
• Maintain project status with tools like Jira/Confluence, Selenium, MPP, Salesforce, Visio, SharePoint and other MS tools.

Mandatory Qualification:
• Plans, organizes and integrates cross-functional information technology projects that are significant in scope and impact.
• Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

• 84 months experience as a certified Project Manager with directly managing multi-million project execution and control, budgeting, establishing/maintaining project schedules, scoping requirements, managing change working with multiple teams, monitoring / mitigating project risks, and periodic status reporting.
• 84 months experience managing stakeholders, developing communication plans, and facilitating communication with periodic follow-up in all aspects of the project covering business and technical meetings, among vendors and program staff.
• 84 months experience following hybrid (waterfall and agile) Secured Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) methodologies such as deriving stories from business requirements, creating plans, developing estimates’ into sprints and planning releases to achieve the project milestones.
• 72 months experience in transforming paper-based processes into electronic systems involving case/incident management, digital information gathering, storage, retrieval and transmission among different teams’ having data submission, review and approval processes.
• 72 months experience with planning and managing legacy data migration and infrastructure upgrade projects involving commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products and ensuring vendor delivers on planned version upgrades, installations, configurations, custom development, troubleshooting incidents and quality assurance.
• 72 months experience in managing and implementing cross-functional process-driven cloud-based solutions such as Salesforce, Dynamics, SharePoint, etc.
• 60 months experience in gathering and documenting business and technical requirements, actionable user stories from requirements, testing strategies/criterion, test cases/scenarios development, deliverables validation, test case execution and results communication.
• 60 months of experience in enterprise-wide systems integration and legacy applications’ migration projects, reports & dashboards development and data exchange among and between internal and external systems.
• 60 months experience in creation/maintenance of all types of project artifacts, and working with PMO and C-suite stakeholders such as Directors, Commissioners, Department Heads, etc.
• 84 months of experience in creating and managing project deliverables using Project Management tools such as Jira/Confluence, Selenium, MPP, SharePoint, Visio and other MS Office tools.
