Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for a Business Analyst in Albany, NY.
Description:
This position will develop and/or maintain system documentation including business requirements, and project process documentation, training plans, test plans, quality assurance and contingency operations plans, and reports.
This individual will be expected to provide expertise and participate in the following activities:
• Elicit business system requirements using one or more of the following methods: analyze current processes, interview users, conduct JAD sessions or group meetings, review/analyze existing documentation or system artifacts.
• Analyze and document business processes (both ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ processes)
• Develop or maintain system requirements in detailed, clear and well-organized functional documents (business requirements documents, business or system use cases, reports) and/or process flow diagrams.
• Develop or maintain test plans and detailed test cases. Develop or maintain training or user acceptance testing plans and Tier 1 support guides.
• Analyze system documentation and system artifacts to develop an understanding of the associated business process.
• Develop detailed functional and system tests from documented system requirements. Ensure appropriate test coverage by mapping system requirements to test cases. Develop or contribute to the development of regression tests and/or user acceptance tests.
• Execute functional and system tests, including regression tests. Participate in user acceptance testing.
• Identify and document application defects and track resolution, performing retesting as required.
• Identify and document deficiencies in system documentation (e.g., missing or ambiguous requirements) identified during the testing process.
Mandatory Qualification:
• Analyzes an organization or business domain (real or hypothetical) and documents its business or processes or systems, assessing the business model or its integration with technology with distinct deliverables to a solution.
• Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
• 84 months experience eliciting/extracting detailed business requirements from customer/project stakeholders or system artifacts and documenting such requirements.
• 84 months experience developing and/or maintaining system artifacts and documentation including business requirements, user, and functional requirements, project process documentation, quality assurance and contingency operations plans and reports.
• 84 Months experience in obtaining and writing use cases, process models, workflows, creating screen mock-ups, report mock-ups and technical documents with attention to detail.
• 60 months QA experience including the following: Create Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test scripts, Execute functional and system tests including regression tests using manual and automated testing tools and record results using HP ALM/Quality Center (or equivalent), Identify and document application defects and track to resolution, performing retesting as required, Identify and document deficiencies in system documentation (e.g. missing or ambiguous requirements) identified during the testing process, Ensure appropriate test coverage by mapping system requirements to test cases
• 24 months experience validating requirements and executing test cases specific to web services. Experience should include using testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI or an equivalent.
